As a Security Officer Patrol Operations in BRIDGEPORT, CT , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being active, supporting people first, working as part of a team, and bringing agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity to each shift.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related support, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and reporting concerns to site contacts when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor, exterior areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas for unusual activity, assist with crowd and line management, and support asset protection efforts through visible presence and observation.
• Support closing and opening activities as assigned, check that restricted areas remain properly controlled, and communicate maintenance, lighting, and/or security-related issues observed during patrols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
