Job Description Handyman - Maintenance Technician Location: Austin, TX Pay Rate: $28-$30 per hour (Based on Experience) Full-Time | Long-Term Opportunity Hours: 40-50 hours per week | Monday-Friday | Some Occasional Saturdays as Needed | Available for Emergency Calls Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Field Service / Handyman Maintenance Technician to join our team in Austin, TX . This is a full-time, long-term position offering steady hours, competitive pay, and work in both commercial and residential environments . Job Details:

- Diagnose and repair leaks under sinks and restrooms
- Replace toilet flush valves
- Install new supply lines in small office and retail environments
- Replace damaged outlets and switches
- Upgrade lighting to LED fixtures
- Ensure all repairs meet NEC safety standards
- Repair commercial metal doors, panic bars, and hydraulic door closers
- Maintain accessibility and fire-safety compliance
- Maintain interior and exterior lighting systems
- Change bulbs and ballasts
- Troubleshoot non-operational circuits
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks, including:
- Inspecting and replacing HVAC filters
- Replacing ceiling tiles
- Patching drywall
- Performing minor carpentry repairs
- Painting touch-ups
- Minor welding and masonry repairs as needed
- Strong electrical maintenance experience ( required )
- Industrial maintenance background preferred
- Experience in plumbing, welding, masonry, carpentry, drywall, and HVAC maintenance is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented
- Must have reliable commercial-grade transportation (pickup truck or transit van)
- Must pass a background check
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Consistent 40-50 hour workweeks
