Senior Business Analyst

Position Summary The Senior Business Analyst position reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs of applications/products supported by the Payment Compliance Solutions team. Leverages analysis to recommend system and business process modifications to support business strategies through purchased or in‑house developed software. Writes detailed descriptions of business goals, user needs, technology solution functions, and steps required to develop or modify solutions. Requires detailed knowledge of requirements gathering and documentation practices, as well as software development methodologies. Communicates requirements to software developers and ensures that the designed solution meets business and user needs. Works with business users to resolve conflicting requirements. Works with project managers and scrum masters to develop timelines and manage project risks, assists in the development of quality assurance test plans, and helps develop end‑user documentation. Classification: Contract Contract Length: 12 months Location: Nashville, TN Responsibilities Independent, innovative, creative, self‑managing individual who can succeed with only general directions. Creates a joint vision for IT solutions by maintaining strong relationships with business units and Solution Leaders and assists in preparing and presenting value propositions or business cases. Creates deliverables independently or with the BA team and manages approvals. Provides functional guidance on specific project deliverables. Provides expertise in process design and provides leadership in communicating requirements to product development, testing, and education/training. Builds a strong and diverse network of relationships with various stakeholder groups. Identifies impact on other solutions or projects, and works with other BAs and stakeholders to identify options and recommendations. Requirements Requires a bachelor's degree in the area of specialty and 6–8 years of experience in the field or a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.
