General Manager, St. Louis MarketVeryable, we are revitalizing U.S. Manufacturing. We connect businesses to workers through our online marketplace, enabling a real-time approach to production. We give workers more options, and give flexibility and control to leaders on the shop floor. One of the fastest growing U.S. tech start-ups, we are looking for a General Manager, St. Louis Market (the "GM St. Louis"). The GM St. Louis shall have the primary responsibility of leading the day-to-day operations of the business, in market, in accordance with the strategic plan and operating and capital budgets. In addition, the GM St. Louis will be responsible for all commercial initiatives and activities.Collaboration, learning, and career development at Veryable takes place in real-time and therefore remote candidates will not be considered. The office is based in St. Louis.The GM St. Louis reports to the Corporation's VP Midwest, and is part of the West Region of the company.Primary responsibilities of the GM St. Louis are to:promote and enforce company values, reputation, and culture;adhere to HR Manifesto and manage marketplace and team for long term growth and stability;manage day-to-day operations of the business in the St. Louis district and oversee P&Ldrive top line adherence in accordance to the company's growth plan;manage district team and recruit, hire, and develop new team members as trajectory requires;drive business development in accordance to the company's growth plan;develop market entry and/or growth strategy and supporting marketing initiatives;develop business target lists, cultivate relationships, and conduct regular communications;manage CRM process and identify scalable ways to recruit business users;cultivate strategic accounts and partnerships to enable growth and scalability;collaborate with other market leaders to identify best go-to-market strategies;oversee operational issues and ensure quick and effective resolution;assist Operations Leadership and CEO in overseeing the long-term business strategy of the Corporation;provide a product-market fit feedback loop into the product management / tech development funnel;assist Operations Leadership and CEO in conducting public events, interviews, workshops, etc. in marketRequired Qualifications:Passionate about Veryable's offerings, our vision and missionDirect experience working or advising industries we serve (logistics, supply chain, manufacturing)Leadership experience - e.g. leading teams directly, cross functional projects, etc.Track record of developing team capability - selecting, hiring, coaching, capacity planning, etc.Upward progression within the same company - e.g. promoted in same organizationActively responsible for cross functional teams, projects, organizationEager to learn, desire to grow professionally all with winning attitudeSelf-starter, industrious individual who has demonstrated mastery of something (e.g. sport, music, etc.)Results oriented, with specific examples of demonstrated outcomes to outperform or overachieve goalsStrong communication skills with ability to story tell, win hearts and minds with direct and plain languageDetail oriented with proven ability to take complex problem, break it down point using dataExperience in the workforce (at least 5 years post university or 8 years work experience is ideal)Entrepreneurial experience, site start-up, independent leadership of a project/group/organization, is preferredHighly proficient with MS Office Suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint)Ability to be in office every day and visit local businesses each week (<25% time visiting businesses)Lean, six sigma, continuous improvement training or certification is preferredNeither worked at nor'studied processes' of a FAANGS company (Facebook/Meta, Amazon, Apple, Netflix, Google or any other Silicon-valley based company)Lean, six sigma, continuous improvement training or certificationAbout VeryableAt Veryable, our mission is to accelerate next generation capabilities in the manufacturing and logistics space by enabling businesses to scale production in real-time to changing needs and conditions.The journey to the next generation of manufacturing and logistics starts with addressing labor as the first critical constraint in meeting production demand.
