Orthopaedic Scheduling Specialist

Description The Orthopaedic Appointment Scheduler is responsible for scheduling patient appointments, coordinating with physicians and clinical staff, and ensuring accurate and timely patient information management. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills. Promptly and courteously answers phone calls and responds to caller queries regarding appointments or general information Schedule patients for office visits by evaluating their needs to determine appropriate provider and location based the conversation with the patient and insurance Obtaining proper spelling of patient’s name, address, phone numbers, insurance carrier, reason for appointment, details how injury occurred Attaching the proper insurance carrier Advising patients if the doctor participates with their insurance or if referral/authorization is required Maintain and update patient information when making follow up appointments Calling patients to confirm appointments Completes incoming request from referring providers Knowledgeable to physicians preferences and areas of expertise Route calls to relevant departments or personnel Providing coverage for the operator as needed 401(k) Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Description The Orthopaedic Appointment Scheduler is responsible for scheduling patient appointments, coordinating with physicians and clinical staff, and ensuring accurate and timely patient information management.
