About Us

Community Counseling of Bristol County (CCBC) is a mission-driven Community Mental Health Center providing outpatient, crisis, and community-based behavioral health services in southeastern Massachusetts.

The Role

The CFO is a key member of the executive team, responsible for financial leadership, operational oversight, and long-term sustainability. This role oversees finance, payroll, insurance, audits, IT systems, and credentialing in a complex, multi-service healthcare environment.

Key Reponsibilities

Lead financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and Board reporting
Oversee accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls
Direct payroll operations in compliance with Massachusetts wage laws
Manage insurance programs (liability, cyber, workers' comp) and risk strategy
Lead audits, Form 990, and regulatory compliance (including MassHealth)
Oversee revenue cycle: billing, collections, and reimbursement optimization
Provide oversight of EHR, financial systems, and data security (HIPAA compliant)
Ensure efficient provider credentialing and payer enrollment
Supervise finance and administrative staff; collaborate across departments

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
7 - 10+ years of senior financial leadership experience
Nonprofit experience; healthcare/behavioral health strongly preferred

Preferred:

CPA or MBA
Experience with Medicaid (MassHealth) and behavioral health funding
Familiarity with Community Mental Health Center system of care
