Job Description
Title: Medical Surgical - Telemetry

Schedule:
Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)

Assignment Details:
Contract Length: 13-26 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours accepted

Requirements:
- Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years
- Traveler Experience: Accepts 1st time travelers
- Certifications: BCLS
- Skills: Med/Surg, Telemetry-remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Team, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, Colostomy Care, Feeding tube care & management, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Starting IVs, Heparin, PCA, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleuravac, CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oral Suctioning, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac

Compliance / Notes:
- RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite.
- Must work 2 of 3 major holidays.
- No RTO during the first week. All RTO must be pre-approved.
- Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty.
- Orientation: 24 hours

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a medical/surgical telemetry environment.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and telemetry readings, interpreting data accurately.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring safety and effectiveness.
- Educate patients and families about care plans and health management.
- Participate in rapid response situations as needed.
