Sanitation Specialist

Sanitation WorkersSanitation Workers will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all aspects of our food production facility and operation. This includes cleaning and sanitizing all production equipment, floors, surfaces, and walls within the kitchen, break rooms, restrooms, and office area, as well as checking and restocking supplies as needed, while following Tovala's food safety and employee safety policies. Food sanitation workers may also be required to complete relevant food safety / quality documentation.Essential Functions:Cleaning and sanitizing all aspects of our food production facility and operation.Cleaning and sanitizing all production equipment, floors, surfaces, and walls within the kitchen, break rooms, restrooms, and office areaChecking and restocking supplies as needed, while following Tovala's food safety and employee safety policiesComplete relevant food safety / quality documentation.Other duties as assignedPhysical DemandsAble to lift, push or pull up to fifty (50) poundsAble to stand, bend, lift and move intermittently during shifts of 8+ hoursComfortable working in hot and cold temperature environmentsFood Safety Responsibilities:Report any food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.Follow and uphold procedures outlined in the Food Safety Plan and the Food Quality Plan and any other programs that support the SQF system and other 3rd party programs/audits.Responsible for taking necessary action on all food safety and quality problems reported or observed.Ensure a trained designee is appointed to cover for absences or vacancies.CompetenciesAbility to work independently through a list of tasks, seeking guidance when neededFamiliarity with cleaning solutions, including preparation and dilution of chemicalsEducation, Experience, Licenses and Certifications:Food certifications and licenses as requiredPrevious janitorial / sanitation experiencePhysical RequirementsAble to lift, push or pull up to fifty (50) poundsAble to stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently during shifts of 8+ hoursComfortable working in hot and cold temperature and wet and dry environments$19.50 - $19.50 an hourCompensation & Benefits:Tovala uses market data, geography, and placement of internal employees to determine salary.
