Operations Manager / Manufacturing Operations Manager Location: Storrs, CT — Onsite Lead the operations behind advanced laser systems that enable scientific and technological innovation worldwide. My client is seeking a hands-on leader to unite manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and service to turn complex technology into reliable customer deliveries. Why You Should Apply Shape operations for sophisticated laser technology Make an impact across a growing global business Medical, dental, vision, disability insurance & 401(k) Three weeks of vacation What You’ll Be Doing Lead production planning, assembly, purchasing, inventory, and logistics Drive schedules, capacity planning, and on-time customer delivery Partner with Engineering and Field Service on new-product transitions Strengthen sourcing, supplier performance, and supply-chain resilience Maintain ERP/BOM accuracy and lead SAP implementation readiness Drive continuous improvement across quality, efficiency, and inventory About You Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related technical field Manufacturing or technical hardware operations leadership expertise Strong ERP, production planning, inventory, and multi-level BOM knowledge SAP implementation, migration, or transformation experience Collaborative, analytical leader skilled in operational change
