Mechanical/Electrical Technician

Mechanical/Electrical TechnicianITW Hartness is looking for a Mechanical/Electrical Technician with strong ability to assemble, read blueprints, use mechanical and electrical skills, and use basic hand tools in a production environment. You will need to work safely in a fast-paced team environment and meet the production schedule while producing quality work.Primary Responsibilities:Understand equipment assembly functionsRead and utilize calipers and a multimeterUnderstanding of basic electricity and cable sizesRead and understand blue prints, electrical symbols, and electrical schematicsUnderstand the inner working of pneumatic valuesTroubleshoot and find the root cause of issues as well as think logically about solutionsAptitude with machine diagnostics, functionality, and equipment testingCritical thinking skills to diagnose problems and repair issues in an effective mannerMultitasking capability with ability to identify and execute priority tasksUtilize an array of electrical tooling; such as, strippers, crimpers, and terminal torque wrenchesBasic understanding of AC/DC circuits and Ohm's LawAbility to travel 10-15% to Customer Sites as requiredQualificationsJob Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent, Associates Degree in a related field preferred1-3 Years of Mechanical ExperienceElectrical ExperiencePhysical Demands:Ability to stand or walk for 8-10 hrs a dayCapable of lifting 25 lbs.Capable of bending, twisting, crouching, or kneelingOvertime may be required with short notice.
