Responsibilities
- Provide direct obstetric and newborn nursing care during labor, delivery, and postpartum, including monitoring labor progress and fetal status.
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, administer medications as ordered, and perform tasks such as electronic fetal monitoring (EFM).
- Collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, neonatal team, and ancillary staff to ensure safe, timely delivery and postpartum care.
- Respond to obstetric emergencies; participate in resuscitation according to NRP and BLS protocols; assist with newborn resuscitation as needed.
- Document accurately in the electronic health record; uphold infection control, safety, and patient privacy standards.
- Support patient and family education on postpartum and newborn care as appropriate.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in New York (state of assignment) or appropriate state
- Minimum two years of recent experience in obstetrics, labor and delivery, and/or newborn care
- Current BLS certification; NRP certification required; EFM experience; STABLE certification preferred
- Ability to work in a hospital obstetric/neonatal setting; eligible to work in the United States
- COVID vaccine not required; Flu vaccine or declination accepted; mask required if declining
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
