Registered Nurse PRN Overnights

What you’ll be doing Schedule: PRN (as‑needed) overnight shift, 6:30pm‑7am. Working onsite at ERC Pathlight's child/adolescent residential facility in Northbrook, IL. Active Illinois RN license required. The Registered Nurse (RN) provides coordinated medical and clinical nursing care to meet the needs of each assigned patient within the ERC Pathlight system. They partner with an interdisciplinary team to deliver quality care and a consistently therapeutic milieu for all patients. As a leader of the health care team, the RN delivers professional nursing care, applying sound clinical judgment in alignment with ERC Pathlight’s established standards of care, policies, and procedures. The RN remains flexible, demonstrates efficient care while maintaining quality, and upholds the organization’s vision, mission, and strategic plan. All team members treat patients, families, and co‑workers with dignity and respect. The RN may be required to work on‑call shifts based on business needs, following applicable federal, state, and local labor laws. Essential duties and responsibilities Perform a full range of nursing services including assessment, care planning, administering treatment, and evaluating patient response in accordance with the patient’s treatment plan Perform initial intake assessment of new patients and discharge reconciliation and education Place, receive, and complete provider orders per ERCP policy Administer medications via multiple routes in accordance with ERCP policy and provider orders Perform phlebotomy, specimen processing, and point‑of‑care testing in accordance with ERCP policy and laboratory vendor protocols Place/maintain nasogastric tubes and administer enteral feeding Place/maintain intravenous access and administer intravenous fluids Perform wound care Document all direct patient care, monitoring, and observation in the electronic medical record Supervise and delegate care to Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses and Behavioral Health Technicians Communicate and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary treatment team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for each assigned patient Ensure care aligns with the individualized treatment plan and patient outcome goals Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings regarding patient progress toward treatment goals and planning for continued or changing clinical interventions Document and report to the treatment team regarding patient status and progress Participate in training, teaching, and mentoring new nursing department teammates Respond to emergency situations until emergency medical services (EMS/911) arrive on scene Must haves Active Registered Nurse License in [state] (Required) Basic Life Support certification (Required) Effective communication skills, both verbal and written (Required) Ability to remain calm in stressful situations (Required) Ability to maintain patient confidentiality (Required) Bonus qualities 1 year+ experience working with patients in the mental health field (Preferred) Pay Range Illinois Pay Range: $37.50 — $46.50 USD What We Offer At ERC Pathlight, caring for people is our mission and that begins with caring for our own team.
