Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Job Full Description

Our staffing agency is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support operations at a busy warehouse facility. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has strong organizational and communication skills.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM
Additional Availability: Must be able to work either Saturday or Sunday up to twice per month

Key Responsibilities

Check in incoming drivers and verify shipment appointments
Match drivers to scheduled dock appointments accurately
Perform data entry and maintain accurate records in warehouse systems
Record and track driver arrival and departure times
Notify warehouse personnel of arrivals and status updates
Confirm outbound shipments are ready and properly documented
Assist with signing drivers out once loads are completed
Maintain clear communication with drivers, dispatch, and warehouse staff

Qualifications

Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or shipping/receiving role preferred
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Basic computer proficiency (data entry, systems navigation)
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and customer service skills
Dependable with consistent attendance

Work Environment

Warehouse setting with regular interaction with drivers and operations personnel
Fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Schedule Requirements

Monday-Friday: 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM
Flexibility to work one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) up to twice per month
