Job Overview:

This role involves executing specialized imaging tasks, including angiography, intricate vascular and non-vascular procedures, as well as neuro-interventional and therapeutic techniques. The individual will also support the Radiologist/Physician Assistant. Registration in both Radiography and Interventional Radiography is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications:

PRIMARY DUTIES

• Accurately prepares and positions patients while selecting appropriate anatomical and technical parameters.
• Prepares and administers contrast agents and medications in accordance with established practices and relevant state and federal laws.
• Monitors patients during procedures, reporting any unusual activity. Reviews protocols and suggests updates or improvements as necessary.
• Adheres to radiation safety protocols and guidelines.
• Ensures compliance with standards set by regulatory agencies.
• Maintains a state of alertness and operates safely at all times.
• Performs additional tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION

• Completion of a Radiology Technology program.

EXPERIENCE

• No prior experience is necessary.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Regularly stands and walks.
• Frequently utilizes vision and depth perception for both near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) distances.
• Engages in frequent oral communication, requiring hearing and speech.
• Regularly listens to identify body sounds and detect alarms or equipment malfunctions.
• Frequently lifts, carries, and pushes/pulls items weighing between 0-25 lbs.
• Regularly assists in lifting and moving patients.
• Frequently reaches, grips, and uses a keyboard for data entry.
• Occasionally lifts, carries, and pushes/pulls items weighing 25-50 lbs.
• Occasionally uses vision to differentiate colors.
• Occasionally bends, stoops, squats, twists, and performs repetitive movements with feet/legs and hands/arms.
• Rarely kneels or sits.
