Under the leadership of the Store Manager, the Donor Greeter is a member of the Donated Goods Retail Operations team and is tasked with accepting merchandise donations from donors according to Goodwill policy, excellent customer service, and assist in the processing of donated goods. This position will also assist in the training and development of store team members, clients, and volunteers.

Job Type: Full-time Hourly Rate: $13.00 per hour Shift: Scheduled up to 29-hours per week Weekend availability

Essential Functions:

1. Provide excellent customer service by assisting donors and customers, addressing questions, and ensuring donations are processed and handled properly.
2. Meet production standards for sorting, pricing, stocking, and processing donations, while working efficiently to meet deadlines.
3. Perform basic calculations for tracking donations and pricing items in accordance with company guidelines and use equipment, including a pallet jack, as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities (Condensed):

• Load, sort materials, and maintain accurate donation records, ensuring compliance with Goodwill policies and procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service, maintain a positive attitude, assist with training, and perform janitorial duties as needed.
• Adhere to safety standards, maintain cleanliness, assist with location security, and ensure production supplies are available.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, with flexibility to accommodate diverse communication styles and abilities, ensuring inclusive engagement with the public, department staff, and individuals with varying needs.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Employment offer is contingent upon the successful completion of a drug test and criminal background check.

The employee must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and team lift or use equipment to aid in the lifting and movement of items over 40 pounds (common items include, but are not limited to, bags of clothes/miscellaneous items, televisions, computers, sofas, kitchen appliances, bicycles, and bedroom sets). Working environment is indoors with occasional exposure to outside temperatures, and will work around occupational allergens, both air and contact, including but not limited to, dust, animal hair and dander, perfumes, and mold. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
