Apply now.This is an Individual Contributor position with the Site Pro 1 in the Telecom division.Working under the direction of the Facility Manager, and within the guidelines of established procedures, the Picker/Packer is responsible to accurately pick all communication tower components per the packing slip. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for general house keeping of their area.Essential Functions• Operate the following pieces of production equipment: forklifts• Accurately pick, and pack items based on customer orders• Inventory control activities including cycle counts• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, although most frequent lift is 20 pounds• Ability to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as well as work in non-temperature controlled environment• Ability to stand/walk up to 100% of shiftThis position reports into the Facility Manager and has no direct reportsRequired Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)• High school diploma/GED and 6+ months of relevant education/work experience• The ability to perform basic mathematical functions• The ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions, accurately• The ability to work overtime, as business needs require• Experience operating a personal computerHighly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications• 1+ year of previous experience working in a warehouse facility• The ability to solve complex problems with high attention to detail and work in a fast-paced environment subject to specific deadlines• The ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a positive manner and be an integral part of a team environmentBenefitsValmont offers employees and their families a comprehensive Total Wellbeing benefit package to ensure their individual and family's overall wellness needs are met.
