Consumer Loan Officer – South Burlington, VT:

Vermont Federal Credit Union is recruiting for a Consumer Loan Officer out of our South Burlington Location.

Hourly Range: $25.42 - $38.13

Job Description:

• Ability to understand member needs and match the appropriate loan program that will best serve the member.
• Analyze the current financial position of members and present them with additional cross-serve opportunities to benefit their financial position.
• Recommend loan decisions to underwriting by determining the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money.
• Follows current loans to ensure compliance with terms and coordinates with collections when appropriate.
• Establishes the terms and conditions of an approved loan and reviews them with the member.
• Delivering outstanding service that is in alignment with the Credit Union’s Service Promises.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of similar or related experience.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact.
