Job Description Job Description Black Velvet Coffee is looking for a friendly, dependable, and hardworking Barista to join our team in Mammoth Lakes! We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in creating a great experience for every customer. Coffee experience is a plus, but we're happy to train the right person who is excited to learn. What You'll Do * Prepare espresso drinks, coffee, tea, and other menu items with consistency and care * Provide friendly, welcoming, and efficient customer service * Take orders and process transactions using our POS system * Learn our coffee offerings, menu, and retail products * Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workspace * Complete opening, closing, and daily cleaning responsibilities * Restock products and supplies throughout your shift * Follow food safety, cleanliness, and quality standards * Work efficiently with the rest of the team during busy periods * Help create the welcoming, laid-back atmosphere Black Velvet is known for What We're Looking For * Reliable and punctual * Friendly, positive, and comfortable interacting with customers * Able to work well independently and as part of a team * Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment * Strong attention to detail * Willingness to learn about coffee and improve barista skills * Able to stay organized and productive during both busy and slower periods * Previous barista experience is a plus, but not required Schedule We are looking for applicants with flexible availability.
