Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is needed in Madison, Wisconsin. The position involves providing family-centered, critically ill or injured childrens care within a state-of-the-art 21-bed unit. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This role offers an opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team delivering comprehensive care for patients with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions.

Job Details:

• Location: Madison, Wisconsin
• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shift from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, Monday through Friday, with every other weekend and some holidays required
• Required Qualifications:
  • Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license
  • At least 2 years of experience in a high-acuity hospital setting
  • Strong Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience
  • At least 1 year of Cardiovascular (CV) experience
  • EPIC electronic medical record system experience
  • Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Ability to pass telemetry test prior to start date
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with ARDR (hybrid data), ECMO, PICU, pediatric dosage calculations, rapid response team, and advanced pediatric procedures
• Additional Information:
  • Traveler will be required to pass a telemetry exam with strict criteria, including identification of lethal rhythms and correct interpretation of dysrhythmias.
  • Floating to NICU and general care may be required.
  • Experience with End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, managing ports, administration of blood products, and other advanced pediatric critical care skills is highly preferred.
  • Two years of recent inpatient RN experience in an acuity hospital is mandatory.
  • References will be requested, and certifications must be current.
