Position Retail Assistant Store Manager Overview We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six (6+) months of management/3rd key experience. This position partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations. The role requires promoting a customer-centric environment and may involve working with a wide variety of merchandise. Responsibilities Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues. Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet FirstCash standards. Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through company-prescribed channels. Open and close the store, including cash drawers and merchandise, while following procedures to protect assets. Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing loans. Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, systems, and reporting. Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting. Ensure operating standards meet or exceed FirstCash standards. Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain value and integrity of loans issued. Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development as requested. Communicate clearly with employees to ensure understanding of the store’s mission and profit objectives. Remain up-to-date on product knowledge. Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager. Other related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting (laws apply). Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others. Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified. May be asked to assist customers outside the building or access exterior storage areas. Minimum Age: 18 years old High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience Ability to work in multiple locations as needed and on a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays. Expected to work 40+ hours per week; hours are not guaranteed. Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and office machines. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; detail-oriented with strong organizational skills; analytical. Cash handling experience required. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; strong work ethic and business sense.
