Health Services Dining Manager STATUS: Exempt, salaried, full-time, 30 hours or more per week REPORTS TO: Dining Services Director

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Health Services Dining Manager is responsible for overseeing Health Center food service activities and providing the level of supervision necessary to ensure the courteous and efficient service of quality and nutritious foods. All job duties are to be performed in accordance with established standards as described in the Quality Assurance Manual for the department. Primary Job Duties: 1. Assists in the planning, scheduling, supervising and approving timecards of Health Center dietary employees. 2. Will serve as the mentor for training for new and current Dining Room employees. 3. Assist in maintaining a high level of customer service for our residents and their guests. 4. Assists in developing all menus for Health Center residents, assessing preferences and nutritional needs. 5. Assists in assuring staff education is provided to dietary personnel in accordance with the staff education plan plus provides on-the-job training for Health Center dietary personnel. 6. Assists in developing work assignments for all dietary personnel, assigning specific jobs and spot-checking work to ensure standards are met. 7. Assists Diet Aides on the floor when needed and receives an over-all consensus on resident feed-back and satisfaction. 8. Transport hot and cold foods, as well as , all required non-food items to and from the health center. 9. Assists Chef with ordering of food items, and specialty items specifically items pertaining to special diets. 10. Initiates and supervises the completion of hands-on intakes as assigned. 11. Maintains individual diet information by transcribing information from the dietitian’s weekly notes to menus and nourishment list when indicated. 12. Maintains pertinent and appropriate records, reports, schedules and studies as required by local, state and federal regulations and as otherwise requested. $60k - $65k
