About the Position

Job Title: Clinical Services - Cardiology Profession: Clinical Services Specialty: Cardiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year experience preferred License: RN or RT(R) License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS for RN; ARRT, BLS for RT(R) Must-Have: Experience with patients undergoing general interventional radiology procedures. Neuro interventional experience required for RNs. Ability to monitor and chart during sedation procedures. Comfort with scrubbing and panning simultaneously for RT(R) applicants. Description: We are seeking experienced clinical professionals for our cardiology unit. The facility is a Level III Trauma Center with a Magnet Designation. It has a comprehensive stroke center and 933 beds. The unit is staffed 24/7 and sees around 40-50 adult patients per day. Procedures include kyphoplasty, central line placements, IVC filters, and coil embolization. Neuro procedures may include embolization and strokes, and are not performed at night. Travelers are welcome if they meet the required experience criteria. RN candidates should have experience with sedation and patient monitoring. RT(R) candidates should demonstrate knowledge of general interventional radiology. Comfort with coding and charging for procedures is preferred but not required. The unit offers support from tech specialists, respiratory therapy, and hospitalists, available 24/7. Technology utilized includes EMR, IV pumps, and various equipment such as ultrasound and laser devices. Schedules may require on-call duties during the week and weekends, with specific response times expected. Holiday duties are subject to change but currently involve call only. Shift flexibility may be available, and managers are open to discussing alternative shift patterns. The work environment promotes collaboration and efficient patient care.
