Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Techno-Functional Consultant to serve as a key internal resource supporting, stabilizing, and enhancing an enterprise D365 environment.

This role will focus primarily on D365 F&O , with particular emphasis on the Dual Write integration between D365 F&O and Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) . The ideal candidate combines strong functional understanding of F&O with enough technical depth to troubleshoot complex integrations, support system enhancements, and work effectively with developers and external implementation/support partners.

This is not a purely technical, behind-the-scenes position. The consultant will work directly with business users to understand requirements, identify the underlying business need, recommend solutions, and translate those requirements into scalable D365 functionality.

• Serve as a senior internal D365 F&O subject matter expert , supporting business users and ongoing platform enhancements.
• Troubleshoot, support, and improve Dual Write integrations between D365 F&O and D365 CE .
• Investigate synchronization failures, mapping issues, integration errors, performance problems, and other Dual Write stability concerns.
• Support and deliver ongoing Phase 2 enhancements , system improvements, and new business requirements.
• Translate business requirements into effective functional and technical D365 solutions.
• Work directly with users to understand what they are requesting, determine the actual underlying business requirement, and recommend the appropriate solution.
• Provide Level 2 application support , handling issues beyond basic help-desk support while partnering with external Level 3 managed-services resources when necessary.
• Configure and enhance D365 functionality, workflows, business processes, and integrations.
• Partner with developers on customizations and code-level changes when required.
• Work across Dataverse, Power Platform, Azure services, APIs, and related integration technologies where appropriate.
• Coordinate with internal F&O/CE resources, business stakeholders, and external implementation/support partners.
• Help improve system stability, support processes, documentation, and overall adoption of the D365 platform.

• Strong professional experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) .
• Senior-level techno-functional experience, with the ability to understand both business processes and technical solutions.
• Hands-on Dual Write experience is strongly required , ideally including design/architecture, troubleshooting, configuration, mapping, synchronization, and ongoing production support.
• Experience supporting integrations between D365 F&O and D365 CE/CRM .
• Experience with enterprise D365 implementations, enhancements, and post-production support.
• Strong understanding of F&O business processes, ideally across areas such as finance, supply chain, and/or operations .
• Ability to troubleshoot complex functional and technical issues and determine when escalation to development or Level 3 support is required.
• Strong integration experience involving technologies such as Dataverse, Power Platform, Azure, APIs, and middleware .
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work directly with business users and translate business requirements into technical and functional solutions.
• Comfortable operating independently as a senior internal D365 resource in a remote environment.

• Experience with Dynamics 365 CE / Customer Engagement / CRM .
• Experience supporting environments where F&O and CE are tightly integrated through Dual Write .
• Power Apps and Power Automate experience.
• Azure integration experience.
• D365 customizations, workflow development, and development/code exposure.
• X++ knowledge is beneficial but does not need to be the person's primary skill set.
• Experience working with Microsoft partners or managed-services providers in a Level 2/Level 3 support model.
• Microsoft Dynamics certifications are a plus.
