Materials Management Associate I

Abbott seeks a Materials Management Associate I to handle receiving, inventory control, and shipping/receiving activities at its Phoenix facility. This entry-level role supports laboratory and production operations by managing material flow, operating warehouse equipment, and maintaining accurate records under established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, label, and store incoming materials in designated locations per procedures
• Operate forklifts, electric jacks, cherry pickers, and other warehouse equipment
• Fulfill internal material requests and restock lab supplies to appropriate locations
• Assist with outbound shipment packaging while ensuring DOT and IATA hazardous materials compliance
• Document receipt, storage, and shipment records; escalate inventory discrepancies or damaged goods

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED plus 1+ years relevant experience, or associate degree in logistics/business
• Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and accurate data entry skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work standing or walking for extended periods
• Ability to obtain forklift certification
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Prior warehouse or material handling experience preferred
• Familiarity with SAP, EWM, or ERP systems preferred

Compensation: $14.85–$29.65/hour
