Design Automation Specialist I

Position Overview:Set up start models / drawings to be utilized in the implementation of design automation projects. Create and execute test specifications to validate projects work as expected. Provide support to others on team for overall project timelines.Duties & Responsibilities:Understanding of modeling best practices for design automationCapture necessary data to be driven in a given model / drawingCreating start models and drawings in accordance with established best practicesProvide support to design automation teammates to further overall project goalsCreate specifications to validate projects work as expectedPosition Requirements:In depth product knowledge for a given group of product familiesIn depth knowledge of Knapheide Engineering design standardsDriveWorksXpress CertificationCSWA, CSWP, sheetmetal and drawing tools certificationsAAS or BSME with at least 2 years of product design experienceVerbal and written communication ability are essentialMust have good analytical and decision-making skillsAble to work accurately in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work independently to pre-arranged work scheduleAbility to change tasks as roadblocks arisePhysical/Mental Requirements Needed to Perform the Essential Functions of this Position:Normal standing, bending, walking, lifting in an office environment. The ability to verbally communicate with individuals is essential.
