Operating Room (OR) Nurse specializing in Surgical Services in Corpus Christi, TX. This role involves providing perioperative nursing care within a busy surgical unit that includes general surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, trauma, neurosurgery, spine, ENT, and bariatrics procedures. The position requires high energy, motivation, and adherence to unit policies to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 10-hour shifts, providing a minimum of 40 hours per week from 09/21/2026 to 12/21/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license with 1 year of experience in operating room or perioperative nursing, current BLS certification. Education includes a professional nursing degree; candidates with BSN or CNOR certification are preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: BSN degree or CNOR certification.
• Unit Information: The surgical unit has 11 operating rooms and 1 endoscopy suite, with a team of approximately 45 staff members including charge nurses, registered nurses, and technicians. The unit utilizes MEDITECH electronic medical records and is equipped with various OR equipment, including multiple types of orthopedic beds and four surgical robots.
• Responsibilities: Assisting with a wide range of surgical procedures, adhering to unit policies and protocols, maintaining patient safety, and supporting team collaboration.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The unit operates Monday through Friday and includes rotating weekend call obligations. Dress code is scrub attire, provisions are provided by the organization. Policies and guidelines are maintained and available for review.
