Reporting directly to the GM / VP of the Particle & Biophysical Product Line, you will be accountable for defining and executing long-term product strategy, driving sustainable portfolio growth, and delivering customer-focused innovation across one of our most important technology platforms.As the business owner for the Particle Analyzer portfolio, you will translate market opportunities, customer needs, and technological advancements into compelling product roadmaps that strengthen market leadership and create long-term value. Working closely with R&D, Commercial, Applications, Operations, Service, and regional leadership teams, you will ensure innovation investments are aligned with customer requirements and business objectives.This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced product management professional with strong commercial acumen, strategic vision, and a passion for bringing innovative scientific instrumentation solutions to marketWhat you'll be doing:Develop and execute the long-term strategic roadmap for the Particle Analyzer product portfolioDefine portfolio priorities based on customer insights, market trends, competitive intelligence, and business objectivesDrive portfolio decisions related to new product development, product enhancements, lifecycle management, and portfolio optimizationOwn portfolio performance and support P&L management in partnership with business leadershipBuild robust business cases and establish investment priorities for future product development initiativesDefine product requirements and market needs for R&D development programmesPartner with regional commercial teams to develop go-to-market strategies and successful product launchesEstablish value propositions, positioning strategies, pricing frameworks, and competitive differentiationSupport strategic customer engagements and represent the business at industry conferences and customer events globallyCollaborate closely with R&D, Marketing, Applications, Service, and Operations teams to align innovation and business goalsLead portfolio governance activities, stage-gate reviews, and long-range strategic planning processesMonitor portfolio performance, market dynamics, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities and mitigate risksInfluence and lead global cross-functional teams within a matrix organisation to deliver business objectivesAbout you:Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Life Sciences, or another relevant scientific disciplineSignificant experience in product management, marketing, business leadership, or related roles within scientific instrumentation, analytical technologies, laboratory equipment, diagnostics, or similar high-technology industriesProven success managing global product portfolios with substantial commercial responsibility.Strong experience developing and commercializing innovative products within complex technical environmentsDeep understanding of market-driven product management, portfolio strategy, and lifecycle managementDemonstrated ability to build strategic product roadmaps and investment casesStrong commercial and financial acumen, including forecasting, business planning, and portfolio performance managementExcellent stakeholder management, influencing, and leadership skillsOutstanding communication and presentation abilities, with experience engaging senior leaders and customers globallyExperience working across global, matrixed organizationsMaster's degree and/or MBA would be advantageousWhat's in It for YouLead the strategy and future direction of a globally recognized product portfolioPlay a critical role in shaping innovation and growth within a market-leading scientific instrumentation businessCollaborate with talented global teams across Product Management, R&D, Commercial, and Operations functions.Influence major investment decisions and product development priorities.Represent the organisation with customers, industry leaders, and scientific communities around the world.Enjoy opportunities for professional growth, leadership development, and international exposure.Benefit from a comprehensive and competitive rewards package designed to support your wellbeing, growth, and success#LI-CS2We provide market-leading, material characterization technologies for the world's most innovative companies, academic institutions, and government laboratories in the analytics of advanced materials.We support our customers through their biggest challenges, from developing lifesaving vaccines to sustainable fuels.
