PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY

To assist the Operator and Assistant Operator in the setup & operate when necessary any piece of equipment to run a corrugated box to meet customer specifications.

SAFETY PROCEDURES

Read and understand SAFETY RULES & HOUSEKEEPING GUIDELINES and receive training in proper operating procedures. Receive instructions in the following; Lockout procedures Hearing protection Safety shoes Moving machinery All stop buttons All nip points Lifting and pushing/pulling Safety guards, gates & chain

EQUIPMENT OPERATED

Computer input terminal Quality test equipment Flexo Folder Gluer equipment

QUALITY

Perform first piece print quality checks. Perform first piece dimensional checks. Perform first piece visual check – fold box complete. Conduct random checks during run for dimensions & print. Check ink color & viscosity. If major problem, shut machine down and notify supervisor.

COMMUNICATION

Push interrupt buttons. Verbal communication. Hand signals.

EDUCATIONAL TRAINING

Ability to read and do basic math. Ability to read a tape measure. Candidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer, but before starting employment.
