Registered Nurse, 6 ICU, Per Diem

Job Details Exemption Status: Non-Exempt Hiring Range: $52.50 - $57.50 (final offer may vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations) Schedule Details Four mixed 12‑hour shifts per month (7:00 am – 7:30 pm or 7:00 pm – 7:30 am) One major summer holiday and one major winter holiday per year One full weekend per month I. Major Responsibilities Utilizes the Nursing Process for delivery and management of patient care from admission to discharge, tailored to the developmental age of the patient population Performs patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedure Develops and coordinates individual plan of care, including discharge planning Directs, supervises, coordinates, and evaluates nursing care within the assigned clinical setting Delegates appropriately to others in accordance with job description and competency level Documents patient care according to standard procedure Develops, implements, coordinates, and documents an education plan for the patient, family, and significant other Ensures quality and continuity of care through collaboration with other health‑care providers Administers medications, performs treatments, therapies, and operates equipment according to policy and procedure; assists physicians with treatment and procedures and special tests as required or directed Participates in and supports Nursing Governance activities Assumes responsibility for professional growth; assists in education and development of staff Participates in performance improvement initiatives and demonstrates the use of quality improvement in daily operations Standard Staffing Level Responsibilities Complies with established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives Attends variety of meetings, conferences, seminars as required or directed Demonstrates use of Quality Improvement in daily operations Complies with all health and safety regulations and requirements Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility, and acceptance toward all employees, patients, and visitors Maintains regular, reliable, and predictable attendance Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed II. Position Qualifications License/Certification/Education Required: Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration BLS is required for every RN unless ACLS certification is current, in addition to any unit‑specific certifications and competencies Preferred: Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing Experience/Skills Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing III.
