Overview Los Angeles Skills Academy (LASA) is seeking a Part-Time LVN or RN to join our Los Angeles clinical team as a CNA Clinical Instructor. This position is hands-on and clinical—ideal for nurses who prefer bedside teaching and mentorship. You will work directly with students in approved clinical settings, helping prepare them to become confident, job-ready Certified Nursing Assistants. Position Overview The CNA Clinical Instructor supervises and evaluates CNA students during their on-site clinical training at approved facilities. The role focuses on skills demonstration, coaching, safety oversight, and competency evaluation to ensure students meet all CDPH requirements and are prepared for the California CNA State Exam. Key Responsibilities Supervise CNA students during clinical rotations in skilled nursing or healthcare facilities Demonstrate CNA skills, infection control, and safe patient care practices Coach and support students in real-time clinical situations Evaluate clinical competencies and document student progress Ensure patient safety, professionalism, and compliance with CDPH standards Communicate student progress or concerns with program leadership Required Qualifications Current LVN or RN license (California) Minimum 2 years of nursing experience At least 1 year working with elderly or chronically ill patients (skilled nursing, long-term care, hospital, hospice, or assisted living experience accepted) DSD Certificate (or willingness to obtain) Meets California Department of Public Health (CDPH) requirements for CNA clinical instructors Who This Role Is Ideal For Nurses seeking a part-time / Perdiem job. 7am-3:30pm/4-8pm Weekdays/Weekends Nurses who enjoy mentoring and skills-based teaching Nurses transitioning out of hospital shift work Experienced nurses looking for stable part time hours About Los Angeles Skills Academy Los Angeles Skills Academy has trained thousands of CNAs across California and is recognized for high-quality instruction, strong student outcomes, and community partnerships.
