Electrical Power Engineer

Electrical Power Engineer We are seeking an Electrical Power Engineer to design, analyze, and support industrial power distribution systems within a plant or facility. This role focuses on the safe and reliable design of electrical infrastructure supporting motors, drives, transformers, switchgear, and critical power systems. Responsibilities Design plant power distribution systems, including one-line diagrams and load calculations Size and specify transformers, switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, motor starters, and UPS systems Perform power system studies (short-circuit, protection coordination, arc-flash, grounding) Support equipment procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning Ensure designs comply with NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and applicable utility requirements Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field Experience with industrial or commercial power systems Ability to interpret electrical drawings and equipment specifications Familiarity with power system analysis tools (ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, or similar) Preferred PE license or progress toward licensure Experience in industrial, process plant, or power-generation environments Salary
