Additional Information About the Role Floats to all units at Christian Hospital – ED and ICU included. Time and 1/2 for all shifts. Experience: No prior experience required. Supervisor Experience: None. Licenses & Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN). Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the standards of nursing care. Promote patient and family‑centered care in a healing environment. Educate patients and families on illness management, post‑treatment home care, and medication administration. Participate in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Engage in professional development activities. Develop, implement, and document individual care plans with defined goals in collaboration with interprofessional team members, patients, families, or caregivers. Proactively plan and ensure communication of care plans across the continuum of care. Use critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, assessing patient preferences, barriers, values, spiritual, cultural, and population‑specific needs. Maintain constant state of alertness; this is a safety‑sensitive position requiring safe and vigilant work. Licenses & Certifications Registered Nurse (RN) required.
