Waste Water Maintenance Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform building maintenance duties and specific tasks such as repairing conveyors, gearboxes, or hydraulic systems as assigned by the supervisor
• Preventive maintenance and repairs on the mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Troubleshot machinery quickly and effectively
• Preventive maintenance and repairs to wastewater equipment, such as conveyors, gearboxes, augers, and pumps
• Complete all tasks in the safest and most efficient manner
• Be experienced and knowledgeable in high-speed manufacturing and packaging equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves, cylinders and air compressors. Knowledge of welding (S/S, Mig, Tig) is a plus.
• Day-to-day maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical problems on equipment
• Comply with all safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Document and maintain "Standard Operating Procedures" for site-specific technologies in use at the facility.
• Maintain compliance with discharge permit
• Performing routine inspections, lubricating machinery, changing fluids, and testing equipment to prevent failures before happens.
• Communicate with wastewater management and personnel to diagnose problems and to determine potential mechanical problems

Qualifications

• Climbing, including ladders, lifting, working with a variety of hand and power tools, shop machines, and tools.
• Minimum 1-2 years industrial maintenance experience Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment General mathematics ability required to perform job Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings Basic knowledge of standard and metric measures Must be able to work assigned days/shifts (including some weekends)
• Must be able to work in extreme heat and/or below freezing temperatures
• Previous maintenance experience with (Preferred)
• PLC
• Electrical
• Multi Meter
• SAP
