Patient Services Associate

 

Pride Health is hiring a Patient Services Associate for one of its clients in North Carolina.

This is a 3-month contract with the possibility of expansion, with competitive pay and benefits.

 

Location – Durham, N.C. 27713

Pay range - $18- $20 per hour on W2. (based on your experience)

Length of assignment – 3-month contract (possibility to extend)

Shift – Onsite; 7:30 - 4:00 PM Monday – Friday.

 

Job Summary

The Patient Services Associate (PSA) is responsible for providing front-desk administrative support by registering patients, verifying insurance, scheduling appointments and referrals, collecting patient payments, answering phone calls, and maintaining accurate patient records. The role ensures excellent customer service while complying with HIPAA and organizational policies.

 

Job Duties

·         Register patients and verify demographic and insurance information.

·         Schedule appointments, follow-up visits, and referrals.

·         Collect copays, deductibles, and other patient payments.

·         Answer incoming calls and assist patients with inquiries.

·         Update and maintain electronic medical records (EHR).

·         Process work queues, referrals, and insurance eligibility.

·         Provide outstanding customer service and ensure patient confidentiality.

·         Support clinic operations and comply with HIPAA, billing, and regulatory guidelines.

 

Requirements

·         High School Diploma or equivalent.

·         Minimum 2 years of relevant administrative or healthcare experience.

·         At least 6 months of data entry experience.

·         Knowledge of medical terminology.

·         Strong communication, customer service, and telephone etiquette.

·         Basic computer skills and experience with electronic medical records preferred.

·         Ability to multitask, prioritize work, maintain accuracy, and work effectively in a team.
