Key Responsibilities:

• Perform initial patient assessments and obtain relevant clinical history and laboratory values to support accurate diagnostic imaging.
• Communicate preliminary findings to supervising radiologists and dictate preliminary reports.
• Perform imaging procedures including fluoroscopy, Barium and Gastrografin procedures, arthrogram injections, Paracentesis and Thoracentesis, Pain/Steroid injections, Port injections, Cystograms, Lumbar Punctures, Myelograms, Nephrostomy tube injections/exchanges, NG tube insertion.
• Monitor and ensure patient safety, comfort, and understanding during imaging exams.
• Provide patient education regarding procedures and post-procedure care.
• Review radiographs with supervising Radiologist and perform preliminary dictations.
• Collaborate with radiology technologists, nurses, and referring physicians to ensure seamless coordination of care.
• Participate in quality assurance initiatives and assist in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Radiologist Assistant educational program.
• ARRT certification as a Registered Radiologist Assistant (R.R.A).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a radiologic technologist, preferably in a hospital or large clinic setting.
