Studio City is expanding its post-production pipeline and building a network of experienced Post Production Supervisors who operate at the center of the unscripted ecosystem. We’re looking to connect with individuals who not only manage post, but also understand where opportunities lie. This includes identifying overflow editorial needs, supporting development teams, and helping bridge production companies with scalable, high-level post solutions. Our team specializes in rapid-turn sizzles, pitch tapes, and unscripted editorial. We are actively partnering with select production companies in need of reliable, efficient post support across multiple development pipelines. The Post Production Supervisor (PPS) is responsible for managing all post-production activities. This includes coordinating with producers, directors, and editors to establish timelines, managing the post-production budget, overseeing vendor relationships (VFX, color, sound), and managing technical deliverables to ensure final delivery meets technical specifications. Key Responsibilities Workflow Design: Set up the post-production workflow, including editing room technical needs, software, and file management protocols. Scheduling & Deadlines: Create, manage, and enforce the post-production schedule to meet all milestones from rough cut to final delivery. Budget Management: Monitor costs and track the post-production budget, including editing staff, visual effects (VFX), music, and vendor costs. Team Leadership: Hire, supervise, and mentor post crew, including assistant editors, visual effects artists, and sound teams. Communication Bridge: Act as the primary liaison between creative teams (producers/directors) and technical teams (editors/studios). Quality Control (QC): Oversee QC processes to ensure final output complies with broadcast or streaming delivery requirements. Required Skills and Qualifications Experience: Proven experience as a Post Production Supervisor, Coordinator, or Assistant Editor in film, TV, or digital media. Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in editing software (Avid, Premiere Pro, Final Cut), asset management tools, and familiarity with VFX/post pipelines. Communication: Exceptional communication and leadership skills to manage creative teams under tight deadlines. Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve technical or logistics issues quickly and efficiently. Budgeting Skills: Strong proficiency in budgeting, scheduling, and accounting software. Methodical: Strong attention to detail and ability to keep complex projects organized. Creative Understanding: Ability to support directors and editors in achieving the creative vision.
