Description
The Biology Department invites applicants for a full-time temporary (3-year) leave-replacement appointment at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology. The position will last from Fall 2027 through Spring 2030.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach the lecture section of an introductory course in ecology and evolution as well as design and teach courses that will serve the biology curriculum and fall within their area of expertise. Specifically, the candidate will teach laboratory courses that center on the organismal level and include field-based exercises that focus on skills to study organisms and ecosystems in the field. The candidate will also teach a non-laboratory elective course in the Winter Term. Depending on research needs, a shared lab space may be available to the successful candidate if they wish to have an active research program.
