Heat Treat Operator

We have an outstanding Contract position for aHeat Treat Operator to join a leading Company located in theCarson, CAsurrounding area.

Pay Rate: $22.00

Job Responsibilities:

• Under the direction of an operator will batch loads for optimum productivity.

• Will be trained and under guidance will set thermal couple , prepare load per optimal heat distribution of load .

• Unload furnaces.

• Responsible for heat treat and process furnace accuracy and uniformity surveys.

• Interpret hardness rating utilizing measuring tools and standards.

• Place workpieces into a heating furnace for a specified period of time .

• Will be responsible for Hardness testing , utilizing specific calibrated hardness testing equipment.

• Maintains a safe and organized workstation and follows all company policy , safety, and procedures.

Basic Hiring Criteria:

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 1 to 3 years of relevant manufacturing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

• Ability to compute rate , ratio , percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

• Basic computer knowledge preferred.

• Must be certified to operate a forklift to approved O.S.H.A. standards.

• Requires specific knowledge of general heat treat requirements for aluminum, titanium, nickel-based alloys, stainless, and alloy steels

• Must be familiar with Heat Treat scheduling to ensure proper sequence for product through heat treating.

• Must be familiar with the operation, adjustment and routine maintenance of all furnace controllers.

• Ability to move parts on and off pallets.

• Must have understanding and knowledge of company procedures and work instructions.
