Genesis10 is currently seeking a Solution Architect for a remote contract position with a Major Utility Company. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role will join the client's team as a full-time Solution Architect with Esri Utility Network experience. The successful candidate will develop roadmaps for utility clients, design Enterprise Architectures, and serve as a top-level technical expert. This position may involve business travel up to 50% depending on client and project requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Provide overall technical leadership for a systems implementation and integration project
• Manage all technical deliverables for the program, including architectural specifications, use-case development, requirements gathering, specification, and validation
• Provide technical direction for software development teams and quality assurance personnel
• Create and maintain programmatic and technical documentation to ensure efficient planning and execution
• Manage and document system configurations and relevant architectural views
• Ensure deliverables are thoroughly tested and meet customer expectations
• Serve as a mentor to senior and entry-level engineers

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in GIS, Information Technology, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
• 8-14 years of work experience in support of related utility consulting or large-scale process/technology projects
• Esri Utility Network experience is required
• Ability to manage architectural specifications, use-case development, requirements gathering, specification and validation
• Experience with Asset and Work Management Systems, ArcGIS – Geometric Network Management/ ArcGIS – Pipeline Referencing, and Integrity Management Software (DIMP or TIMP)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to provide technical direction for software development teams and quality assurance
• Ability to maintain programmatic and technical documentation
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
• Understanding of general utility business processes
• Electric or gas distribution industry experience

Pay range: $95.00 per hour
