You’ll love it here! At UCLA Health, you can do all this and more with a primary focus in oncology patients. We are seeking an Ambulatory Oncology Pharmacist for our Bowyer Infusion Pharmacy. The Clinical Oncology Pharmacist acts as the medication management expert by providing accurate drug information to providers, nurses, and other clinical staff. In additional to verifying orders and making clinical interventions, the individual will also oversee compounding in alignment with USP, Board of Pharmacy, and other regulations, ensure medications are received, stored, labelled, transported, and wasted appropriately and collaborate with members of multidisciplinary health care team to optimize patient’s medication therapy. Hourly Salary Rate: $115.04 (Standard Per Diem Rate) Bargaining Unit: HX-UPTE Job Qualifications We are seeking an exceptionally-skilled and compassionate pharmacist with the following qualifications: Doctor of Pharmacy Degree ASHP-accredited PGY2 oncology residency or at least a minimum of 1 year of pharmacy practice experience in oncology Recent clinical oncology experience (within 5 years) Board Certification in Oncology (BCOP) preferred Previous infusion pharmacy experience preferred Exceptional communication, interpersonal, organizational and follow-through skills Knowledge of and ability to perform age specific and disease specific pharmacokinetic calculations Required to have the ability to travel to multiple work sites within UCLA Health As a condition of employment, the final candidate who accepts an offer of employment will be required to disclose if they have been subject to any final administrative or judicial decisions within the last seven years determining that they committed any misconduct; or have filed an appeal of a finding of substantiated misconduct with a previous employer.
