Job Summary

The Imaging Aide PD is responsible for assisting the staff with maintaining patient flow. Will prioritize and coordinate patients and exams; greet, escort, and transport patients; prepare exams for interpretation; maintain supplies, and complete minor housekeeping duties.

Pay Range

Minimum $25.00 Midpoint $26.00 Maximum $26.00

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

Experience

• Required: None required.
• Preferred: Previous patient transport, patient aide, and/or film library experience. Previous experience in a patient care setting.

Education

• Required: High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent.
• Preferred: Post High School education in health care course(s).

Training

• Required: None required.

Specialized Skills

• Required: Ability to set goals and judge results in accordance with the highest standards; care with sensitivity and respect; advance care through development of new ideas and technology; promote teamwork to achieve CHOC Children's mission; and, understand and exceed customer expectations. Demonstrates the ability to provide appropriate care based on the physiological, emotional and cognitive needs of all age groups of patients, including infants, preschool, school aged, adolescents, and adults. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal relationship and collaboration skills.
• Preferred: Bilingual - English/ Spanish.

Licensure

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS).

Work Environments - Functional Demand

Heavy - Very high energy level Lift over 50 lbs. Carry 80 lbs. a distance of 30 feet. Push/pull > 200 lbs. (ie. Patients on bed, stretcher) Lateral transfer or max assist sit to stand transfer.
