THERMAL DIE CUTTING (TDC) PRESS OPERATOR

SUMMARY:

Operates Thermal or Steel Rule Die Cutting Press by performing the following duties:

DUTIES:

• Read and interpret work orders
• Obtain die before starting job and clean & return die to storage when job completed
• Set up and operate TDC/SRC press
• Maintain consistent cut registration throughout the run
• Check every 25th sheet for depth and quality of cut
• Communicate any irregularities with Supervisor
• Clock in/out of jobs
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Must be fluent in English

SPECIAL SKILLS OR ABILITIES:

Must possess the following skills:

• Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and job tickets.
• Reasoning Ability: Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Must have the ability to apply information, and variables, learned from one task, or project, to other similar situations.
