Part-Time: Career Exploration Lab Technician

Title: Part‑Time: Career Exploration Lab Technician Employee Classification: Other Professionals Institution: Southwest Tennessee Community College Department: Mobile Learning Lab Operations Campus Location: STCC - Multiple Campus Locations Job Summary This is a temporary position reporting to the Career Exploration Lab Coordinator. The Career Exploration Lab Technician is under general supervision. Job Duties Directly supports mobile unit activities. Manage and maintain a wide range of electronic test/repair equipment including (but not limited to): PACE rework stations, Mantis Microscopes, Analog/digital oscilloscopes, bench power supplies, analog/digital signal generators, digital multimeters, analog multimeters, laboratory trainers. Monitor and resupply inventory of laboratory consumables. Troubleshoot equipment including software and hardware. Checks and tests equipment and work in confined spaces. Work up to maximum of 16 hours per week. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Associate degree or higher in Electronics Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related work experience. Experience with managing inventory. Experience with computer hardware / software maintenance. Ability to work in confined spaces. Skills in solving problems excellently. Skills in communication and interpersonal. Ability to repair, maintain, and install microcomputer equipment. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. A background check will be required for the successful candidate.
