The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment, working with multiple surgeons. This position involves circulating in the Cardiac and Thoracic OR, with various responsibilities tied to patient care and surgical support.Unit Information\n \n Unit Type: Cardiovascular Operating Room\n Number of Suites: 12\n Average Cases per Day: 20\n Common Cases Include:\n \n Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)\n Mitral Valve Repair (MVR)\n Aortic Valve Replacement (AVR)\n Kidney Transplant\n Robotic Procedures (Thoracic and Cardiac)\n Peripheral Vascular Surgery\n Thoracic Surgery\n Aortic Repair\n Vascular Access Procedures\n Hybrid Procedures (TEVAR/EVAR, TAVR)\n Impella and IABP Support\n Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO)\n \n Shift Information\n \n Shift Length: 8 hours\n Work Schedule: Monday through Friday with variations in scheduling\n Call Requirements:\n \n Minimum of 1 weekday call and 1 full weekend call per month, with additional call as needed.\n \n Qualifications\n \n Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Cardiovascular Operating Room nursing, with a preference for 3 years of circulating experience.\n Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Certification.\n Preferred Skills: Scrubbing experience is preferred, but not mandatory.\n Additional Information\n \n Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Epic\n Orientation: Unit-specific orientation provided.\n Dress Code: Hospital provides scrubs.\n Parking: Daily parking options available at a cost; monthly access options also available.\n \n Join our nationally recognized Cardiovascular and Thoracic program and become part of a collaborative and dedicated team focused on delivering high-quality surgical care.
