Role SnapshotBrookhaven Market is looking for a Full-Time Meat/Seafood Wrapper (onsite) in Darien, IL, with pay starting at $16–$19/hour. In this role, you help keep our meat and seafood department accurate, orderly, and customer-ready—so shoppers can grab what they need with confidence.
What you’ll handle:- Wrap, weigh, date, and label fresh meat and seafood with care
- Rotate and stock product in cases, coolers, and freezers to support freshness
- Keep the counter area neat while following department procedures What you’ll bring:
- Prior experience in a meat department or food service is preferred, but not required
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow specific procedures
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling of meat products
- Ability to walk and stand for the duration of scheduled shift and able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team and independently

You’ll start by getting the counter area ready for service, making sure everything is set up and easy to work from. As the day moves along, you’ll keep an eye on what’s selling, restock from the cooler/freezer, and help the case stay full and neat. You’ll spend time at the scale and wrap station, moving steadily and accurately so products are ready for the floor. Between customers and prep, you’ll keep your station clean and sanitized—because in food service, “clean” is always in style.
