Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled, passionate, and patient-focused Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) with 2–3 years of clinical experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is someone who has honed their clinical skills, feels confident managing their own column, and excels at building long-term relationships with patients of all ages.

Key Responsibilities

1. Clinical Excellence & Patient Care

• Perform thorough and gentle dental cleanings, including adult/child prophylaxis, scaling and root planing (SRP), and periodontal maintenance.
• Administer local anesthesia .
• Take high-quality digital radiographs (X-rays) and intraoral camera photos to assist in diagnosis.
• Apply preventive materials such as fluorides and sealants.

2. Assessment & Diagnostics

• Conduct comprehensive periodontal chartings and oral cancer screenings annually (or as indicated).
• Accurately document patient medical history, vital signs, clinical findings, and treatment plans in our dental practice management software.
• Identify signs of oral disease, recession, or structural damage and co-examine/co-diagnose effectively with the Dentist.

3. Patient Education & Communication

• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, nutritional choices, and the systemic link between oral health and overall wellness.
• Clearly explain periodontal disease processes and treatment recommendations to maximize patient acceptance.
• Maintain a warm, empathetic chairside manner to help put anxious patients at ease.

4. Safety & Compliance

• Strictly adhere to OSHA, CDC, and HIPAA guidelines for infection control, sterilization, and patient privacy.
• Clean, disinfect, and prepare hygiene operatories efficiently between patients to keep the daily schedule running smoothly.

• Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
• Licensure: Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in good standing in [Insert State].
• Certifications: Active CPR/BLS certification. Local anesthesia.
• Experience: 2–3 years of hands-on clinical experience in a general dental practice environment.
