Job Description The Clinical Dietitian provides medical nutrition therapy to patients recovering from an eating disorder, educating patients and families on meal plans and nutritional needs. Responsibilities Assess nutritional status and establish meal plans to improve nutritional status and evaluate patient response. Provide individualized nutrition counseling and education to patients and/or families to achieve nutritional goals. Complete documentation of interventions, individual and family sessions, and meal plans. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team to coordinate treatment plans. Attend team meetings and rounds to serve as the nutrition expert resource. Facilitate experiential groups, including restaurant outings, food preparation and cooking groups (as applicable). Assist in providing meal and snack support and supervision. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (Required). Graduate degree (Preferred). A valid U.S. driver license (Required). Current RD/RDN credential with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (Required). Current state dietitian/nutritionist license as required by state law (Required). 0–2 years of experience as an RD (Required). National certification, Registered Dietitian (RD) preferred. Experience Levels Clinical Dietitian I – 0–2 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian; meets all education and licensing requirements listed above. Clinical Dietitian II – 2 or more years of experience as an RD, with a minimum of 2 years working with eating disorders; meets all education and licensing requirements listed above. Sr. Clinical Dietitian III – 5 or more years of experience as an RD working with eating disorders; meets all education and licensing requirements listed above.
