Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Four 10-hour shifts per week; PreOp starts at 6:00 AM, Phase 2 starts at 7:00 AM, Phase 1 starts at 8:00 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across PreOp, Phase 1, and Phase 2 PACU settings
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips using Philips equipment
• Adhere to ASPAN guidelines for patient ratios and care standards
• Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate and timely documentation
• Participate in call coverage, averaging approximately 3–4 call shifts per month with a 30-minute response time (dressed and ready to work)
• Cover weekend call on a rotating basis, approximately once every 8 weeks; holidays covered by call

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Experience in PACU nursing, including PreOp, Phase 1, and Phase 2 care
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Must be able to work all areas within the department: PreOp, Phase 1, and Phase 2 (no floating outside of department)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with EPIC EMR
• Familiarity with ASPAN nursing guidelines and standards
• Experience working in a high-volume surgical or orthopedic environment
