Pediatric Neurology Oncologist (MD/DO)

- Deliver coordinated, multispecialty care to patients with brain tumors and other neurologic oncologic conditions in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Participate in multidisciplinary pediatric oncology care with a team that includes pediatric neurosurgery, radiation oncology, neuro-radiology, clinical research, genetic counseling, pediatric palliative care, nutrition, and psychosocial support.
- Participate in the inpatient care team
- Provide clinical teaching and in-service education to medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Engage in pediatric oncology clinical research projects and studies, including translational efforts.
- Participate in multidisciplinary pediatric neuro-oncology care with a team that includes pediatric neurosurgery, radiation oncology, neuro-radiology, clinical research, genetic counseling, pediatric palliative care, nutrition, and psychosocial support.

- 108-Bed Level IV NICU
- Pediatric Cardiac ICU & Pediatric ICU
- Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Unit
- Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit
- Pediatric Cardiac Acute Care Unit
- Pediatric Medical Surgical Units with EMU
- Pediatric Emergency Department
- Pediatric Inpatient EEG, Video EEG, and EMU. Outpatient EEG Program, and Sleep Lab

- Education: Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited institution.
- Board Certification: Board eligible or board certified in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology
- Experience: successful completion of pediatric residency program and successful completion of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology fellowship.
- Licensure: Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) upon start
- Payer Credentialing: Ability to successfully complete the credentialing process by third-party payors and Ability to enrolled as a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payor
- Medical Staff Credentialing: Successful completion of credentialing for Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges sufficient to perform all required services
