This position supports engineering and construction, manages procurement processes, drives internal process improvements, and supports department growth and business development.Supervisory Responsibilities: This role does not have any supervisory responsibilities.Duties/Responsibilities:Lead changes to internal processes to improve team efficiencyMentor junior staffTake ownership of procurement needs for complex projectsHold meetings to communicate procurement detailsOrder material specified by the engineering team for specific projectsMaintain material documentation, schedules, and bill of materialsTrack order deliveriesCoordinate material deliveries and receivingProvide recurring procurement updates to the project teamProcess invoices for received materialServe as the single point of contact for procurementSupport engineering and construction crews for additional procurement needsWork with leadership teams for project portfolio and procurement team updatesSupport department growth, networking, and business development activitiesRequirements/Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Construction Management, or Finance preferred)2+ years of industry experienceAdapt, lead, and communicate new techniques in response to emerging challengesProficiency with advanced project procurement toolsStrong problem-solving skills and leadership experienceAbility to manage complex projects and stakeholder relationshipsAbility to thrive in a collaborative environmentCommitment to ongoing learning and professional developmentAbility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentPhysical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Ability to move about the office or project site to attend meetings or gather information.Occasional lifting of office materials or equipment (typically up to 20 pounds).Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, copiers, and telephones.Visual acuity to read and analyze data, spreadsheets, and computer screens.Travel Requirements: Travel may be required to project sites or vendor locations as needed.Utilitra is committed to building and sustaining an equitable and inclusive work environment where diversity is expected and valued.
